Branding Iron Inn
Amenities
The Branding Iron Inn, located in rustic Dubois, Wyoming, is only 85 scenic miles southeast of Yellowstone National Park, along one of America's most beautiful drives, over the Continental Divide and through Grand Teton National Park.
Our Swedish Cope log cabins, hand built in the 1940's, have all the modern conveniences you'll need while still maintaining an authentic Old West atmosphere. Our cabins feature king and queen beds, cable TV, western decor, tub/shower combinations, kitchenette units and some adjoining rooms.

The Branding Iron Inn is located downtown Dubois, close to a variety of shops, restaurants and historical attractions. Dubois, once a hangout of Butch Cassidy, sits at the foot of the spectacular Wind River Mountains and is home to the largest wintering Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep herd in North America. The Big Horn Sheep can be seen on Whiskey Mountain, Dubois' backdrop to the south and east. We have plenty of other winter activities here in Dubois and the surrounding wilderness areas. Dubois gets relatively little snow in the winter, but there is plenty "up on top" for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and dogsledding, so think of us when the snow flies!

Besides being an easy access to Yellowstone our little town offers some wilderness attractions of its own, year round. Along with Whiskey Mountain and the bighorn sheep in winter, in spring and summer our many miles of hiking trails open up and can take you to back country lakes, rivers and streams for a day spent canoeing, fishing or just listening to the water flow over the rocks. In the fall, Wyoming's long hunting seasons can be enjoyed to their fullest in Dubois, with easy access to elk, moose, pronghorn antelope, deer and bighorn sheep. We would be happy to recommend guide services or outfitters.
